FRANCES & FRIENDS is a co-working space designed for creative professionals where the atmosphere is relaxed and non-judgemental. Flexible workspaces that can be customised to suit people specific needs, with plenty of natural light and greenery. The goal is to create a professional, modern, yet approachable brand that appeals to creatives. The client wants the branding to reflect their values of collaboration, community and creativity.
Concept
FRANCES & FRIENDS logo conveys a modern and minimalist look, popular among creative professionals. Within the logo a deliberate choice was made to incorporate a shape reminiscent of a desk.This design element carries through our branding in a meaningful way. When this shape is inverted, it's the symbol for a keyboard space bar. The space bar symbolizes the key selling point of Frances and Friends - the ability to create a workspace that meets each person's specific needs, with the possibility to move the desks around to create the perfect working area. Moreover, when two dots are added atop the inverted space bar, a familiar smiley face emerges. The smiley face, universal symbol of of happiness and positivity, conveys the welcoming and inclusive nature of this community, where people can feel comfortable and happy while they work.
